Smoke Free community?????
SMOKE FREE COMMUNITY - isn't the case here! Wednesday i called the office 3x about marijuana stink in building 6. (Not the ... first time i have had to comlain). Todays response to my 2 page letter made me want to scream! Now it seems there is " no guarantee" it will be smoke free!!!! I read throught the website information - - there was no mention that smoke free was not guaranteed! By Wheaton codes nobody can smoke within 25ft of a building --- people abuse this all the time! I AM ALLERGIC TO ALL FORMS OF SMOKING! The center of the complex is nicely filled with grass,trees, benches ... but often smoke of all kinds! Often, i have had to change my route or cover my nose and mouth to get to my apartment. Twice I have nearly fallen down stairs in my building because of the stench of the marijuana! IT MAKES ME DIZZY!!! I have told them this on more than one occasion but it does not seem to matter. This time they said they spoke to ONE of the offender. I know that we all have rights! My point that everyone is ignoring is that we took the apartment because it was billed as Smoke Free Community - that is what I needed! With the smoking and lack of parking (another item the office and I have gone around about) it is making life difficult. I LOVE MY APARTMENT! I HAVE BEAUTIFUL NEIGHBORS ACROSS THE HALL! I really dont know the other neighbors in our section except to say hi once in a while. I know I am not the only one yelling about these issues! The new management company better get involved in things and solve the problems. A 3.8 review isn't good. There are great people both living here and working here!!! Its time to make this into a 5* community by all following the rules and management giving us solutions to the problems instead of ignoring them.
